1. Caroline Cossey

Also known as Tula, the 62-year-old was born as Barry Kenneth Cossey in Norfolk, UK. At puberty, Barry started showing distinct feminine features due to a variant of an intersex condition known as Klinefelter’s syndrome, where, instead of having the XY male chromosome pattern, she had the genotype XXXY.

She had her final sex reassignment surgery in December 1974 and went on to appear as an extra in a James Bond movie, For Your Eyes Only in 1981, as well as in on a number of magazines including Harper’s Bazaar and Playboy.

2. Laverne Cox

Laverne Cox is the first openly transgender person to appear on the cover of Timemagazine. She gained prominence as Sophia in the TV series Orange Is The New Black, a character that underwent a sex change. Her twin brother played the role of Marcus – the pre-transitioning Sophia – in the series.

Cox is also a LGBT advocate.

This scintillating beauty was kicked out of America’s Next Top Model in 2006 as a result of being transgender. She was also fired from The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, apparently, because she wasn’t making any money for the agency.

The same gorgeous person eventually became the winner of America’s Next Top Transsexual Model.

Ines-Loan Rau is a stunning transgender who is gaining rapid fame as a fashion model. Rau underwent gender transformation surgery at 16.

At 24, she became the winner of Miss Tiffany’s Universe and Miss International Queen 2004.
