Kanye West Plans To Launch A Cosmetics Line
What do you do when you know you’ve conquered the showbiz world and successfully invaded the fashion industry? You move on to the next adventure, which might come bottled in mascara tube and grounded into colorful eyeshadows.
Yes, people, Kanye West has revealed plans to launch a cosmetics brand named after his late mother Donda, who passed away in 2007. The same name is used by West’s ambitious “content, experience and product company” which was supposedly built to breach everything from fashion to transportation, education and alternative energy industries.
West’s plans to venture into cosmetics were first reported by TMZ, according to which he already filed the first legal documents that declare his intentions to produce DONDA makeup, perfumes, lotions and other beauty products.
It’s hard to image what the line would look like at this moment, but a lot of people can’t stop wondering what kind of drama it will cause between West and his sister-in-law, Kylie Jenner.
Jenner debuted her makeup brand KYLIE back in 2016 with now almost iconic liquid lipstick-lip liner duo, the Kylie Lip Kit. Since then, the young Jenner added eyeshadows and eyeliners to her already rich list of lip products.
Kylie Jenner has been making headlines recently for her alleged attempt to trademark the name “Kylie,” which was met with strong opposition by another famous name holder, Kylie Minogue.
