Hello Beauties, and we are back on our “Know Your Beauty Vendor” Segment. How cool is it to know like some personal things about the graceful hands etc that adorn our faces…
Spotlight today is on Christine Makanjuola, the Creative Director for Christine Signatures. Here is what we got to:-
TCP:- Where did you train as a Makeup Artist?
CS:– I am a self thought Gele artist, I always admired how beautiful my mother looked for her events when I was younger, so I picked up the Gele skills from her. As for makeup I have always loved to play with colours and sell makeup products, As I sold the products I would do some makeup on their faces to check their shades and shape their eyebrows. To sharpen up my skills in 2010 I attended a 2day makeup seminar at MUD Nigeria. 
TCP:- How many years have you been a Makeup Artist?
CS:- I’ve been a makeup artist for 6years 
TCP:- Your top five Makeup products/ brand obsessions
CS:-
A) I’m big fan of eyebrows so I use the Hegai and Esther brow gel, I have it in all shades. 
B) I really love bronzers they bring light to the finishing of your work. I use the Bh cosmetics wild and crazy bronzer. 
C) Glitters are like icing. I just really love how they give the eyeshadow some more pigment and shine. I’ve got glitters in all shades and many brands. From NYX, sBen Nye, Bh cosmetics, EA glitters, ShopSisi, Classic. 
TCP:–  Most embarrassing Makeup experience
CS:- I wash all my brushes once in preparation for a bridal job the next day, I had forgotten I didn’t pick them from the back of the AC where I usually spread them for quick dry. I got to the brides room the next morning opened my box and I almost fainted. Like, “what! My brushes are at home”. I quickly had to collect brushes from one of our team members  
TCP:- If you were not a Makeup Artist, what would have been your practice?
CS:–  I was a primary school teacher once. I really love teaching. And when I say teaching I mean, teaching at the primary school level between the age is 4 and 10. I love children and would love to be a part of their learning process. 
TCP:– What is your Unique Selling Point? 
CS:- 
We have 2 unique selling points. 
One is timing. We are never late. We get to our jobs as early as 10-15 mins before time. It’s better to be early than late. Because as makeup artists you have to earn your time. 
Two is our understanding of colours. Mixing colours, making sure that a colour sits well with a skin shade or a dress code is our priority.
